I have 3 of my toenails painted because that's all that shows in my shoes and I'm a busy girl on the go

(definitely nsfw)

I have been obsessively watching these videos, I love Willam and these are making me laugh/cry a little. I imagine if I ever were to make a video, it could end up on this series.

I really should have posted this FOTD back when I did it, now I can only remember half of what I used... Sorry 'bout it.

Well this one was kind of a fail. Sorry guys. I am excited, though, because I took a cue from Larie and ordered a light box and some halogen lamps. This way my product pictures can look less awful (I hope!)

Goodbye Cupcake

This weekend I said "see you later" to my best friend and fun-sized twinsie. Kristen has moved on to hopefully bigger and better things and while I am sad she is gone, I am happy for what is to come. The silver lining (thanks BCoop and JLaw) is that she's still only 6 hours away, so now I can go and visit her and make a whole mini-vacation out of it! We spent Friday night/Saturday morning hanging out one last time. She left this morning (Sunday) and as of about 45 minutes ago she had successfully completed her trip.

Kristen - When you read this (and I know you will) I just wanted to say that I <3 you billions. Say hi to your family for me!

Because this is a post for Kristen, I'm going to talk about something we both were curious about yesterday - what does OCC Lip Tar in Feathered look like on its own?

The answer is, "terrible." I hope I am expressing it through the concern in my face in the last picture. Luckily I did not buy it to wear on its own, rather to mix into the Lip Tars I already have (which thanks to Kristen I now have Anime as well!) to make fun new colors. Or a mess. Whichever comes first.

The Used (December 2012)

Honestly I didn't even want to post this one because I used so little in December. I cheated and threw in something I finished at the very very beginning of this month just so I could make it to 4 things. Then I realized it's almost February and I can't steal any more from January because I'm not finishing up much this month either. I need to be more wasteful I think, lol.

Bausch + Lomb Biotrue Multi-purpose Solution: Is it reaching that I included contact solution here? I got this bottle as a sample from Target along with a coupon for a larger bottle. It was pretty good, I guess I don't necessarily see the differences between brands, though. I may just keep using this because I feel like it's probably better than the store brand stuff I'd been using.

Solstice Scents Kitchen Creamy Whipped Soap: In case you were wondering, this is the cheat item. The functionality of this was no different than all the other Solstice Scents whipped soaps I've shown on here. The scent was very VERY food-y. I could smell baked goods and syrup. If you don't like smelling like you rolled in maple cookie dough, don't buy this. If you do (and I do) then it's a good idea.

Bath & Body Works Be Enchanted Body Lotion: I'd had this for longer than one should admit. It's a tiny travel sized bottle. I used this mostly on my feet, though not for any particular reason. It smelled awesome, very floral and whimsical. If I were better about using body lotion, I would definitely buy this scent again.

Mario Badescu Keratoplast Cream Soap: Got this as a sample with a previous order. Apparently keratoplast is some sort of botanical thing that's supposed to help with redness and soothe irritation. My take? It looked like toothpaste. I think it smelled like toothpaste, but that might have been my imagination. It worked like, well, not toothpaste. I didn't really feel like it did anything much honestly. Definitely won't be buying a full size of this one.

And just because I am in love with it, here is a necklace from my friend Laura's Shop of Worldly Delights. I would be jealous of myself for having this if I were not already me.

More Macaroni, Less Cheese!

Happy Tuesday! Just hanging out with my dog and watching some Face Off. I am so jealous of the Special FX skills the contestants have, just blown away and it's only the first episode!

This is another one I pilfered from someone else's idea online. I can't even find my reference picture now. I really need to get better organization for my inspirations folder.

Ultimate Grand Supreme Glitz

I am most definitely not watching Toddlers & Tiaras. Nope, definitely not. I also am not going to be watching Honey Boo Boo after whatever it is I might be watching now. Don't judge me, I need to earn my Viggle points...

My little bro turned 22 a few days ago and we went out to a slightly awkward family dinner. I also got my hair cut (trimmed ever so slightly) I apparently really need to re-henna. Even my hairdresser (hair stylist? what do you call dudes who cut hair anyway?) asked when I planned to color it next, so I knew it was bad. So I took a picture to check it out. Yup.

*Sigh* Maybe in a few more weeks I'll get around to it. Anyway, on to what's important, the makeup.

A Proper FOTD?? No Way!

I get out of work early on Thursdays and once in a blue moon I will opt to play with makeup after rather than take a nap. More often than not, though, napping wins out.

This was my attempt at recreating something that I swore I saved off of Phyrra's site, but can't for the life of me find the original post any more. Wasn't such a fan of this when I closed my eyes, but opened I thought it looked kind of cool.

Face

  • Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm in Vanilla Glow
  • MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Dollymix
  • Revlon ColorStay Mineral Finishing Powder in Brighten

Eyes

  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Original and Candlelight (mixed)
  • Inglot Eye Shadow in 40 Shine (crease - this looked too much like bruise and ruined things I think)
  • Inglot Eye Shadow in 379 Matte (lid)
  • Inglot Eye Shadoe in 488 DS (highlight)
  • Sugarpill Chromalust Loose Shadow in Goldilux (middle of lids)
  • Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (to stick Goldilux on)
  • LOreal Lineur Intense in Black Mica (upper liner)
  • Sephora 12H Jumbo Liner in Black (lower liner)
  • MAC Pigment in Viz-A-Violet (over over lower liner)
  • LOreal Hydrofuge Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
  • Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Naked (brows)

Lips
  • MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme in Your Coffee

So not really something I am thrilled with, but still glad to have tried it. Perhaps next time with a different crease color and a different lipstick things would be better.

Goodbye 2012

I can't say I'm sad to be though with 2012, it was not my best year. Thank you all for bearing with me as I waded through it with my sporadic posts. Perhaps I should make a resolution to post more regularly, but I feel like making resolutions seems to end in doom for most people (ok that's a little dramatic perhaps.)

I hope everyone has had a nice holiday season. I have accumulated a bunch of pictures throughout mine, so I figured I would just make a holiday post.

I discovered Diamond Candles and am hooked. For about the same price as a Yankee Candle, you get a long lasting, amazing smelling candle which has a ring in it! The rings range from $10-$5000. So far I have only gotten ones that I assume are "cheap" rings, but they are really pretty for costume jewelry (I just wish they were a little smaller as I'm running out of thumbs to wear them on!)

Once I got myself more in the holiday spirit with smells, I baked some cookies. This year I picked white chocolate/crasin, snickerdoodle and salted chocolate chip.

Then came the tree.

Sean and Jacob (brother and bf) came over on Christmas day. My mom was here, too, of course.

Jewel found a new place to nap.

No one wanted to take a picture with me, so I took my own as usual. Christmas buttons are from JC Penny.

And my sad Christmas nails. I'd tried to do white with red glitter to look like peppermint, but that came out terrible. This was my rushed plan B.

Happy 2013 everyone!
